Included with the ConfigMgr and SCEP licensing is a rebranded version of ESET Anti-virus for MacOS/OS X. I doubt this comes with Intune though. For more information about uninstalling on Mac OS X, see the following web page. Specify the credentials of the user who installed Rapport on the system.

In Case You Missed It

Microsoft recently announced end of support for their Mac and Linux anti-virus (AV) product called Security Center Endpoint Protection or more commonly SCEP.

Specifically, the Microsoft Tech Community announcement stated the following:

End of Support for SCEP for Mac and SCEP for Linux on December 31, 2018
Support for System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP) for Mac and Linux (all versions) ends on December 31, 2018. Availability of new virus definitions for SCEP for Mac and SCEP for Linux may be discontinued after the end of support. This discontinuation may occur without notice. If you are using any version of SCEP for Mac or SCEP for Linux, plan to migrate to a replacement endpoint protection product for Mac and Linux clients.

How does this affect me?

• Starting today, customers with active deployments of SCEP for Mac will have the option to get ESET Endpoint Security for Mac. If you qualify, log in to the Microsoft Volume License Service Center (VLSC) to get more information. Further details are available on the download pages for the various versions of System Center Endpoint Protection.
• No replacement is being made available for SCEP for Linux.
• If you are using Configuration Manager current branch version 1810 or later, Management Insights will help alert you to the presence of Mac and Linux clients in your environments.

Consider Your Options

So, if you’re currently a SCEP customer or have been selling or reselling the SCEP product, it is time to evaluate your options for replacing SCEP. Requirements

• You must have the CM2012 (Configuration Manager) client installed.
• The machine you are installing the CM2012 Client on must be a member of cornell.edu and have the proper policies in place to allow communication with the CM2012 infrastructure.
• You must be provisioned on the CM2012 system. If you are not currently using CM2012, please send an email to MD-PC@cornell.edu asking to be on-boarded.

Installation

This procedure creates or modifies a client settings policy that will install SCEP on the managed computers.

1. Launch the CM2012 Console.
2. On the wunderbar (lower left), click .
   
3. On the left, under Overview, click .
4. In the main section of the screen, select your unit's client settings policy (or create it if one does not already exist).
5. Right-click your unit's client settings policy, then select . A Client Settings dialog box will open.
   
6. In the left column, click .
7. In the right section, click to put a check next to .
8. In the left column, click .
9. In the right section, set the device settings as desired. Most settings will be read-only until you set the first (Manage Endpoint Protection client on client computers) to .
   The screenshot here shows the settings used to upgrade the CIT-managed environment. You MUST uninstall SEP (Symantec Endpoint Protection) before installing SCEP. The simplest way to do this is to set the third setting (Automatically remove previously installed..) to .
   
10. Click to close the dialog box.

Monitoring

1. Launch the CM2012 Console.
2. On the wunderbar (lower left), click .
   
3. On the left, under Overview and Endpoint Protection Status, click .

Here you can see how many clients in your collection have Endpoint Protection installed and other information.

Click to see additional information on the status of each client.

Reporting

1. Launch the CM2012 Console.
2. On the wunderbar (lower left), click .
   
3. On the left, under Overview and Reporting, click .
4. In the search bar, type endpoint, then click .

The search results are various reports you can run for further details.
